Dear Reader,
I’m at at an interesting point in my life. In this new house and surroundings all the old routines and habits stopped and due to todos and the circumstance of moving house and this means I get to reestablish them now bit by bit but als reevaluate what served me well and what could be better. I’m also a bit scared of not finding the RIGHT routines that will keep my creative energy running, since I quite comfortably have barely drawn for myself roughly a month now.
Therefore I’m very happy that I did this landscape study, for myself! And I like it! :D I have a complicated relationship to drawing vehicles. I’m scared of it but when I do I like the results .
On Friday I recorded painting this study for my Patrons.
And afterward I felt that tingle of wanting to do some more of these.
I stepped into the long ago trodden path of doing studies and it felt familiar and easy. I always stopp doing them when I feel like I keep doing the same thing and that I’m not really learning anymore and now beginning with what I know I can again try to learn things again.
I would like to find 15 mins (that will turn into 30 mins let’s face it) in the evenings again to do some studies, maybe even daily. This right now feels like something I can do on top of my crazy work load since it does not require me creatively to answer the question WHAT DO I DRAW? I just go to mapcrunch and draw the first randow view.
I could also not draw for myself, but I find myself missing it.
