Dear Reader,
As an artist one often has the dilemma of wanting to create and also having to make money from what you create. This comes with promoting what you do, which in turn can feel, shall I say a bit “icky” .The way I can promote my art and what I do happily is when I can lead with value. This for me comes with sharing my knowledge and experience. When this also helps me earn a living I am happy.
So let’s start with the value <3
I know a lot of people have trouble with drawing feet, so here goes:
When still working in a game company as Art Director, I used to do workshops for all the artists when I felt that there were particular areas where a lot of people had some trouble, like hands for example. This being well received gave me the confidence to start a Patreon in 2018 where I shared tutorials on a weekly basis. Nowadays it has shifted a bit to sharing my process and explorations in detail but I still do tutorials when someone asks for a topic I haven’t covered yet. The tutorials have resulted in my two books Sketch Every Day and Draw What You Love I published with 3dtotal.
I often get asked about digital versions of the books.
Well, all of my tutorials roughly 500 pages are all still available, sorted into collections by topic on my Patreon. For comfortable usage I also assembled them into 10 PDFs which are now also available on my Gumroad! <3
In the next 9 weeks I'll be sharing a page as above from each of the other 9 PDF’s in this little club of ours <3 I hope you will find them helpful.
Feel free to save them to return to when ever the particular topic troubles you!
